
Sarah Berntsen
Yoga Instructor
Sarah first discovered yoga twelve years ago when a friend invited her to a class… and she absolutely hated it. But thanks to that same friend’s persistence, she gave it another try and slowly realized that yoga was something she could do, enjoy, and eventually fall in love with.
Sarah works full time as a behavioral health therapist. After attending a professional training that encouraged therapists to integrate yoga into clinical practice, she decided to pursue yoga teacher training. Since then, she has brought her love of movement and mindfulness to both the studio and her therapy work.
In addition to teaching yoga at MI Fitness Community, Sarah volunteers as a yoga instructor at the VA hospital. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, running, and laughing every chance she gets.
Sarah’s passion is making yoga accessible for all bodies, ages, and abilities. Her goal is to help others feel good in their own skin and discover that yoga truly is for everyone.
